It's tractor-hauling time of year
Look, we realize tractors and equipment on the road can present an inconvenience to our rural neighbors, but even we had to give this hauling operation a double-take.
As farmers, we're proud of the multitude of uses people find for our food products. But we had no idea! If your shoppers are limiting their bacon intake to breakfast only, they are missing out on the latest Internet craze. Bacon's everywhere! Here are some examples:
The Elvis Donut: Peanut butter glazed donut topped with bananas and bacon.
The Bacon Cinnamon Roll: Enough said.
The Ba-Cone: A bacon cone filled with a complete breakfast.
Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies. Who knew?
Krispy Kreme bacon cheddar cheeseburgers. We dare you to look away.
Chocolate Creme Brulee with Candied Bacon. For the most refined palates.
Chocolate Oatmeal Cupcakes with Maple Bacon Buttercream Frosting: Proof there's nothing that can't be improved by bacon bits.
Maple Bacon Frozen Yogurt: What'd we just say?
Bacon Moon Pie. Pork fat, dark chocolate, caramel marshmallow, Scottish shortbread cookie, single-barrel bourbon. Feeling light-headed yet?
Bacon vodka. Baken, not stirred.
Chocolate-covered bacon. The delicacy that launched a movement.
Following last week's position statement by the American Academy of Pediatrics, blaming media for contributing to childhood obesity, many were jumping on the healthy kids bandwagon in an attempt to head off potential action by Congress and regulators to ban programming that doesn't conform to the new health consciousness. Caught up in the pack: Our favorite poster child for gleeful abandon, Sesame Street's Cookie Monster. As seen in this historical evolution of the 50 year old mascot for pure food enjoyment, apparently C no longer stands for Cookie, but for Correct, Politically.
